"I had for a long time wanted to gain my Dental Nurse qualification having had a lot of previous experience. I work as a full time admin support for an emergency dental department and enrolled on the course provided by Absolute Dental in Kingsbridge tutored by Di Cox. I have recently achieved this qualification through lots of hard work and dedication from both myself and Di. Although I had a lot of previous practical experience I was lacking the knowledge of the theoretical side of up to date procedures and protocols. I gained a lot of theoretical knowledge which I believe made the difference between passing and failing. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is interested in becoming a dental nurse as Di is a fantastic tutor".

Emma John at Absolute Dental was recommended to me, through a work colleague, as she has an excellent team and amazing practice down in Devon.

Before my trip to Devon, Emma emailed and called me to find out exactly what I was struggling with and set our week based on things I needed help with, which was great as some courses go over things that may not be relevant.On arriving at Absolute Dental I had a lovely greeting from all the team, smiles all around, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Emma had planned out each day so I could gain as much as I could from my time with her. Not only did Emma explain how to implement things within my practice she even gave me copies of letters, spreadsheets etc information leaflets etc to help me work from when I got back to my practice. "Emma came to visit us here at College Street Dental Practice on Tuesday 23rd June, 2009.  She spent the day with us in our Practice, talking to us about our vision and how we saw the future of our business.   She then spent the afternoon observing in particular our reception staff, and then training both receptionists, nurses and clinicians on that all important patient journey, showing us that little things make the difference! Our staff left that day, enthused and motivated for implementing many of the ideas that were discussed, and I can confidently say that I have seen at least a 1% improvement already!

We also took advantage of Emma’s expertise for an evening event we were running for Dentists.  We asked Emma to be our guest speaker and impress upon them the importance of  the patient journey.   Having been given the brief, Emma also decided that bringing her nurse along  to speak  and present too would further cement the importance of this journey, and make Dentists and nurses alike, stop and try and appreciate this journey from the Patient’s point of view not just our own!

We had almost 50 guests that evening, and we have had fantastic feedback from all of them on how motivating, relevant and informative both Emma, and her nurse, Diane were.
