From left to right: Denise, Rachel, Diane, Sophie and Lucy |
Denise - GDC 108439 - has widened her role at Absolute Dental to not only provide excellent dental nursing care but also as a qualified Oral Health Educator. She teaches adults and children alike how to maintain their dental health. Denise has recently been visiting school children as part of their Key Stage 2 development, encouraging them to consider their diet and the effect that it has on their teeth. In recognition of her commitment to her profession, Denise reached the national final for Oral Health Educator 2007, she didn't win it this time but was highly commended.
Di - GDC 122350, having been a dental nurse in the local area for six years, will also be a familiar friendly face to many of you - but she has now developed a passion to mentor other student dental nurses to provide not only first class chairside assistance, but also dental nurses that offer exceptional all round patient care. Diane works alongside Emma with absolute dental training and provides in-house training to student dental nurses at Absolute Dental.
Rachel - GDC 176050 - joined the practice in April 2007 and has gone from strength to strength since qualifying as a dental nurse in May 2008. She is a true ray of sunshine and many patients comment on her lovely personality. Rachel has taken on the role of hygiene co-ordinator now which involves the day to day management of the hygienists' diaries and keeping both hygienists in line - no easy mission!
Sophie - GDC 119096 - has joined the practice from The Crescent Specialist Dental Centre in Plymouth - she is a Kingsbridge girl, and will be a familiar face to many of you. Sophie has taken further qualifications in radiography and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team - managing to juggle all of this with a new baby & planning a wedding which took place in February 2010!
Our latest recruit is Lucy, who joined the practice in March 2010. Lucy passed her National Certificate examination after studying on Diane's evening course, she has worked as a trainee dental nurse for several years in other practices locally, and is now looking forward to progressing her career in dental nursing.
We are very proud of our attentive, professional team - and as a direct consequence - the high standards of care we are able to deliver.
