The team is made up of a group of qualified and registered dental nurses who have each acquired expertise in different areas of the profession. This wealth of experience provides invaluable support to the clinicians at Absolute Dental, and excellent training opportunities for our student dental nurses.

Emma, the Practice Manager, is committed to maintaining and supporting our highly dedicated, motivated team so that we can continue to deliver consistent dental excellence. Emma's expertise was recognised nationally when, in 2004, she was presented with the award for Practice Manager of the Year by The British Practice Managers' Association. Again, in 2006, she was awarded Practice Manager of the Year, this time from The Probe National Dental Awards, and as a direct consequence is now lecturing nationally to dental teams on management issues and providing invaluable tuition on how to create the perfect front desk team. Emma is now providing a comprehensive list of courses for dental practice managers and their teams from absolute dental training.

Denise - GDC 108439 - with over 10 years experience in dental nursing Denise has widened her role at Absolute Dental to not only provide excellent dental nursing care but also as a qualified Oral Health Educator. She teaches adults and children alike how to maintain their dental health. Denise also makes school visits helping to educate children as part of their Key Stage 2 development, encouraging them to consider their diet and the effect that it has on their teeth. In recognition of her commitment to her profession, Denise reached the national final for Oral Health Educator 2007, she didn't win it that time but was highly commended. Denise is also a dedicated care nurse to Bill Beare, specialist in restorative dentistry, co-ordinating his diary, and providing both clinical/non-clinical support for his patients.

Di - GDC 122350, having been a dental nurse in the local area for eight years, will also be a familiar friendly face to many of you. Diane is Rhodri's implant care nurse, and is always keen to keep up to date with her knowledge and practical skills. When she is not assisting in treatment rooms, Diane might often be your first contact at the practice either on the front desk or as a member of our team of treatment coordinators. Having developed a passion to mentor other student dental nurses to provide not only first class chairside assistance, but also dental nurses that offer exceptional all round patient care, Diane has developed and delivers a very successful course for student dental nurses as part of absolute dental training and also provides in-house training to student dental nurses at Absolute Dental.

Sophie - GDC 119096 - joined the practice from The Crescent Specialist Dental Centre in Plymouth - she is a Kingsbridge girl, and will be a familiar face to many of you. Sophie has taken further qualifications in radiography and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team - managing to juggle all of this with 2 children!

Kelly - GDC 195042 - lives in the local area with her husband after moving to the South Hams from Bristol in 2010. With over 3 years experience, Kelly has great aspirations to take an active role in helping other students achieve their nursing qualifications. Kelly is also our hygienist/hygiene co-ordinator.

Melanie - Melanie is the latest recruit to Absolute Dental and is undertaking her Dental Nursing course with us. She lives in Kingsbridge with her husband and two sons and spent 10 years in the care sector before joining us. Melanie said,"My first 4 weeks at the practice have been absolutely fabulous: the Team have been so very welcoming and helped me settle in very quickly. Everyone has been very patient too! I am very proud to be part of the Team and I am now looking forward to starting my new career with people who are so passionate about what they do."
